Here at Bino and Fino we are always looking at creating great resource lists about products and services that will add value to your little ones. Taking some time-out we've curated a list of some of the most beautiful African inspired black dolls available for children to enjoy. Please note. This is by no means an exhaustive list, so please feel free to let us know of any other African inspired dolls we should add to the list.

Ntomb'entle Dolls 

As usual in our EVCL studio we were having a passionate debate about African animation for children. Why isn’t there much of it? When will we have African children’s cartoon brands and companies that are just as big as Cartoon Network etc? Are parents & children ready for something like that? The usual questions we usually argue over whilst producing Bino & Fino.

Cultural dances play a huge role in African societies. These dance forms are used to teach moral values, social etiquette and to help people mature and celebrate members of the community while celebrating festivals and other occasions. African dances are largely participatory and every ritual dance often have a time when spectators must participate. 

It is no surprise that there a lack of true positive African voices in the world of children's media. What can children watch,  read or play with to learn more about the wonderful continent in a  positive genuine way? Not as some afterthought. The key words being 'genuine' ,  'educational' , 'entertaining' and 'representative' . I'm not talking about Madagascar or Lion King here.  Nothing against Disney but those movies ( or similar) are not what I'm referring  to here as they don't really represent Africa in any real way beyond just being set there.
